Leya (Ying) was born in Shanghai, China into a family of martial artists, and started Tai Chi training around age 10. She continued this study through Shanghai University and again at Shanghai University for Sports. Master Ying graduated from Shanghai University majoring in Chinese history and went onto teach Chinese history.

Tai Chi means Supreme Ultimate Force, with the blending of Yin and Yang, theprimordial “light” and “dark”. Leya(Ying) has a particular style and studied underthe great Tai Chi master, professor Xie Yelei. She competed in National Chinese Tai Chi contests, wining two gold medals, and two silver medals in the “Yang and Chen Styles” of Tai Chi.

Master Ying has the ability to express, with precision, the most delicate of movements to the cutting and strong. She floats like a butterfly but strikes like an eagle! Master Ying is proficient in and teaches the way of the “FIST, FAN andSWORD” specialty training. With many years of experience, she continues a dailyexercise and regimen mastering the mental, spiritual, physical aspects, and elements of Tai Chi that bring health and harmony into a stressful world.

Tai Chi includes many teaching styles and schools. The disciplined Tai Chi movements are, at times, named for the creator of the specific Martial Art form.These forms make up the developed sets, forms, patterns, and philosophy.
